정계성 변호사는 김·장 법률사무소 대표변호사 중 1인으로 금융 파트의 수장을 맡고 있습니다. 

1976년 김·장 법률사무소에 입사한 설립 초기 멤버로서, 입사 이래 30여년간 금융산업 분야의 M&A, 은행 및 증권 감독규정, 자산유동화, 국제자본시장 등의 분야에서 한국 경제 발전과 밀접한 대형 거래들을 수행해 왔습니다.

1980년 공기업의 차관도입, 국내 주요 기업의 금융 및 외화조달 업무에 관여해 왔으며, 1997년 IMF, 2008년 세계금융위기에도 새로운 기법으로 국내 기업의 외자유치를 성공적으로 이끌어낸 사례가 많습니다. 또한, 최근에는 김·장 법률사무소의 홍콩사무소를 기점으로 Asia지역 업무 연계를 통한 법률 서비스 확대에도 관여하고 있습니다. 

정 변호사는 국내뿐 아니라 IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal, Asialaw Profiles 등 해외 저명한 법률미디어에서 발표하는 금융 분야 Leading Lawyer로 꾸준히 선정되고 있으며, 2013년, 2016년, 2018년 3년에 걸쳐 Asia-Pacific 지역 유명 법률매체인 ALB가 주관한 ALB Korea Law Awards에서 Managing Partner of the Year로 선정되기도 하였습니다. 

정 변호사는 1973년 서울대학교 법과대학에서 법학사 학위를 수여받고, 1976년 대법원 사법연수원을 수료하였으며, 1982-1983년 해외 연수를 떠나 Shearman & Sterling 뉴욕사무소에서 1년간 근무하였습니다.

1976년 김·장 법률사무소에 입사한 설립 초기 멤버로서, 입사 이래 30여년간 금융산업 분야의 M&A, 은행 및 증권 감독규정, 자산유동화, 국제자본시장 등의 분야에서 한국 경제 발전과 밀접한 대형 거래들을 수행해 왔습니다.
