John Sangho Park is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. Mr. Park has extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project developments in the areas of energy and power (both conventional and renewable) working closely with international and domestic sponsors and developers.
Mr. Park has been actively involved in developing and executing oil & gas projects in Asia, the Middle East and North America and advises clients on issues relating to concessions, PSCs, JOAs, EPCICs, LNG SPAs and related financing (non-recourse). In Korea, Mr. Park is assisting major international sponsors to develop offshore wind projects (fixed bottom and floating), BESSs, CCSU and clean hydrogen projects.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Park was a general counsel of DSME ENR Ltd., an integrated oil & gas company wholly owned by Hanwha Ocean (f/k/a Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering).
Mr. Park received an LL.B. from the University of Sydney in 2002 and attended the College of Law in 2003. He is admitted as a solicitor/barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia.
