James H. Chun is a Foreign Attorney in Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice.
Mr. Chun has extensive experience representing Korean companies and multinational corporations in international arbitrations under various arbitration institutions and rules, including the ICC, ICSID, HKIAC, SIAC, UNCITRAL, CAA and GAFTA. Mr. Chun also has substantial experience advising corporations and financial institutions on legal and compliance issues.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Chun worked as an Associate for seven years at the Hong Kong office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, where he specialized in international arbitration and corporate investigations. Before then, Mr. Chun worked as Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. In his three years at the Centre, Mr. Chun supervised over 100 administered arbitrations. Mr. Chun has also served as tribunal’s secretary on several arbitrations.
Mr. Chun holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. He is admitted to the New York bar and New Jersey bar. Mr. Chun is fluent in English and Korean.
