On June 15, 2022, Kim & Chang hosted a hybrid webinar with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer titled, “Global Instability: Impact on Supply Chains.”

This hybrid webinar initiated with opening remarks from Byung-Woo Im of Kim & Chang and Freshfields’ Nicholas Lingard.  Matthew Christensen, Dami Park, Don Jeon and Hyungkeun Lee from Kim & Chang participated as moderators and panelists along with Erin Miller Rankin, Lee Rovinescu, Amani Khalifa, Joaquin Terceno and Samantha Tan from Freshfields.

This event highlighted the growing supply chain risk arising from global instability, featuring in-depth discussions on identifying risks and practically resolving them.  In particular, Ms. Park discussed legal issues that may arise from a global supply chain crisis.  Mr. Christensen and Mr. Jeon discussed the risk of price increase and currency fluctuation and essential issues global businesses must consider.  Mr. Lee emphasized the need to cautiously approach issues regarding the agreements on Russian sanctions and dispute resolution by obtaining detailed advice from experts.
