PATENT Significant New Changes to Patent Prosecution Practice in Korea The Korean Patent Act will be amended to make several major changes to Korean patent prosecution practice, which include extending the period for responding to a final rejection from 30 days to 3 months. The amendments will strengthen protection measures for applicants. Read more Posting a Link to Infringing Content May Now Be a Criminal Copyright Violation in Korea The Supreme Court overturned its previous precedent to hold that a website operator that posts links to foreign websites that replay copyright-infringing content was liable for copyright infringement.
