Youngsu Park is an attorney at Kim & Chang who provides legal advice in relation to the Vietnam, International Practice, Mergers & Acquisitions, Construction & Engineering Disputes and Acquisition Finance Practices. Mr. Park’s major clients include financial institutions, construction companies, manufacturers, etc. In particular, having resided in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for several years, Mr. Park has rich experience in Vietnam investment advisory for Korean clients.
Mr. Park has represented a number of Korean investors who want to invest in Vietnam. His experience and expertise in structuring, negotiating and implementing complex transactions have well served the needs of our firm’s clients, including top-tier buyout firms. Mr. Park has advised both sellers and buyers on strategic and financial planning.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Park worked at a domestic law firm from 2011 to 2021, providing domestic litigation and advisory services regarding overseas (Vietnam) M&A cross-border transactions, real estate projects, corporate general matters, disputes, construction and real estate issues, among others. From 2021 to 2023, Mr. Park worked at the National Pension Service Investment Management and Korea Investment Securities Co., Ltd., providing advice on alternative investments such as PE, real estate, infrastructure and insolvent funds and PF, and on related domestic litigations.
Mr. Park gave several lectures on investment in Vietnam hosted by embassies, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (“KOTRA”), and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Additionally, he served as a legal advisor for the Korea-Vietnam FTA Utilization Support Center, and as an advisor to the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, KOTRA Hanoi and KOTRA Ho Chi Minh, and the Korea Creative Content Agency.
Mr. Park received an LL.B. from the Sungkyunkwan University College of Law in 2007. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2006. He is admitted to the Korean bar.
