Sunny Park is a senior foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. Her areas of expertise include corporate law, crisis management, anti-corruption and public policy. She is in Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, and part of Privacy & Data Security, Anti-Corruption & Corporate Compliance, Antitrust & Competition Practice at the firm. She advises multinational and domestic clients on technology related issues, including cloud adoption, privacy, cyber security, cross-border data transfer and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Park has experience advising clients on a wide range of corporate issues, including labor, IP, corporate and compliance investigations and audit. She has also advised a number of multinational and domestic corporations on inbound and outbound M&A, technology transfer and licensing matters.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Ms. Park worked for Microsoft for over 12 years, most recently as its Asia Pacific General Counsel from Singapore. As an in-house counsel, she has managed a wide range of issues to support the business and its diverse customers on adopting technology, and managed and mitigated business and reputational risks and engaged with government and regulators to advance tech policies around Asia. With her extensive experience as an in-house counsel, she has deep understanding of business clients. She has over 25 years of experience in Korea and other parts of Asia.
