David H. Pyun is a senior foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. As a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice and Energy Practice, Mr. Pyun focuses primarily in advising clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions and leasing in the office, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors as well as joint venture and development transactions.
Mr. Pyun also has substantial experience in a range of corporate and finance law areas, including joint ventures and corporate finance matters including corporate credit facilities, high-yield bond offerings and structured finance transactions.
Mr. Pyun has extensive experience advising asset management companies, corporate clients, private equity funds and other foreign and domestic financial institutions on a large spectrum of domestic and cross-border investment transactions, and also specializes in direct asset purchase and sale, indirect investment and development financing via purchase and issuance of debt securities and domestic and overseas hospitality transactions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pyun has been actively involved in many high-profile transactions in Korea and overseas, including investment transactions in the United States, Asia, Europe, Australia and South America.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Pyun was a senior foreign counsel (foreign attorney partner) at Yulchon LLC in Seoul with the role of senior supervising foreign attorney for its Real Estate and Construction Practice.
Mr. Pyun previously worked in the New York office of Mayer Brown, where he worked on general corporate and finance matters, including capital markets. Following his experience in New York, he worked for several years at as a general corporate and finance specialist in real estate at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble, Mallory & Natsis LLP and Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP.
