Miles Chung is a senior foreign attorney at Kim & Chang and is a member of the firm's Antitrust & Competition Practice.
His practice covers all aspects of Korean and international competition law including merger control, cartels, abuse of dominance and related litigations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chung has advised clients in a wide spectrum of industry sectors including IT/semiconductor, pharmaceutical/life sciences, automobile/auto parts, agrochemical/chemical, ocean shipping, aviation, banking, payment network, etc. in connection with complex global merger filings as well as the Korea Fair Trade Commission (the "KFTC") investigations into cartels, abuse of dominance and vertical restraints. His experience extends beyond the KFTC's administrative proceedings to include the appeals to the Seoul High Court and ultimately the Korean Supreme Court, related criminal investigations and proceedings as well as follow-on private plaintiff civil litigations.
Mr. Chung has also advised a number of major global franchises in establishing local presence in Korea and setting up compliance programs with respect to local franchising law requirements. His experience also extends to advising local franchises in expanding their business to other regional markets, including Asia, the Middle East and Central Europe.
Mr. Chung is a member of the Bar of the State of California.
