Sung-Joo Yoon is an attorney at Kim & Chang.
He primarily practices in the firm's antitrust and competition, mergers & acquisitions, foreign direct investment, corporate governance, and international practices.
Mr. Yoon regularly represents various multinational companies in investigations, cases and enforcement actions initiated by the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC), including those related to abuse of dominant market position, unfair trade practices and cartel activities. In addition, Mr. Yoon advises the firm’s clients in M&A transactions on all aspects of the M&A practice, including investment acquisitions and formation of joint ventures by multinational companies in Korea.
He received an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law in 1999, graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1991, and received an LL.B. from Seoul National University College of Law in 1988. He is admitted to the New York bar and the Korean bar.
