Scott Lee is an attorney in Kim & Chang’s Corporate Investigations & White Collar Defense Practice. Mr. Lee joined the firm after his distinguished 20-year career as a prosecutor where he handled a broad range of legal disputes including white collar crimes.

With the extensive experience he gained during his career as a prosecutor, Mr. Lee handles cases that arise from internal audits of client companies by conducting interviews and investigating documents, and resolves anti-corruption cases that pose material risk to the management and its integrity. He has also dealt with various labor law issues including employment contract disputes.

Mr. Lee was the first ever prosecutor to be named as a legal counsel for the Korean Mission to the United Nations. He was also appointed as an arbitrator for the Permanent Court of Arbitration in the Hague. He is currently the conciliator of ICSID under the World Bank and is also the Mediator of Seoul Southern District Court.

Furthermore, Mr. Lee was in charge of environment and construction regulation legislation tasks during his service at the Ministry of Justice. In addition to his proven skillful legislative analysis, he possesses a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in defending clients in circumstances in which they have been implicated under unreasonable regulations. Mr. Lee has particularly been successfully in handling white collar criminal defense cases and HR cases involving multinational financial institutions, IT companies, defense industries, and pharmaceutical companies.
