Bio

Dooyeon Cho is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He specializes in the areas of ESG & Sustainability, Labor & Employment, Corporate Governance & Shareholder Disputes, Anti-Corruption & Corporate Compliance, Corporate Investigations & White Collar Defense, and Defense Industry.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Cho accumulated extensive experience in corporate legal affairs, having served as legal counsel for Hanwha Group’s Compliance Committee. He also provided various legal advisory services to corporate clients. In addition, he served as an Assistant Secretary to the President (in charge of legal review and policy support related to the performance of State Affairs) and has a wide view of the overall policy environment through collaboration with various government ministries and related agencies.

Based on such experience, Mr. Cho provides effective advice on complex issues faced by clients, taking into account both the policy mechanisms and the perspectives of the corporate field.

Recently, Mr. Cho has been providing legal advice on sustainability issues, such as supply chain risk management, and on labor & employment issues such as workplace harassment, which are increasingly important from the perspective of ESG. Based on his expertise in the relevant fields, he is currently serving as a member of the ESG Special Committee of the Korean Bar Association and Integrity Citizen Auditor of the National Fire Agency.
