Youn Joon Han is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang’s Vietnam Practice. He was the first Korean to get involved in the Vietnam legal practice - from 2006, he has been active for 17 years thus far. During this period, he was involved in almost every kind of Korean company’s investment activities in Vietnam, including M&As in the energy sector and real estate development projects.

Mr. Han has represented a large number of Korean companies and funds for various types of M&A transactions in the energy, aerospace and fintech industries. Mr. Han is also renowned as the expert consultant for structuring new types of businesses in Vietnam.

Starting as the very first Legal Advisor for the KOTRA HCMC Investment Promotion Center in 2006, Mr. Han has been assigned as the legal advisor or consultant for various government/NGOs located in Vietnam, including the Korean Embassy, HCMC Korea Consulate, Korea Health Industry Promotion Association and Korea Chamber of Commerce HCMC.

Mr. Han received an LL.M. from Indiana University School of Law in 1999 and his LL.B. from Hanyang University College of Law in 1993. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2000.
