Stephane Min Gyu Park is a US licensed foreign attorney at Kim & Chang, with extensive experience in advising some of the largest multinational companies and financial institutions, both as outside counsel and as a senior executive. At Kim & Chang, Mr. Park regularly advises corporations, financial institutions, as well as special committees on a wide range of transactions, disputes, investigations, regulatory compliance, crisis management and government affairs.
Previously, Mr. Park was General Counsel, Head of Legal and Compliance and Chief Diversity Officer of Prudential Life Insurance Company of Korea Co., Ltd., where he managed a team of professionals in a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues, including strategic initiatives, products, HR, anti-competition law, privacy, data protection, sales and marketing as well as asset management and investments. Mr. Park also provided leadership in navigating issues relating to crisis management, corporate transformation, restructuring, internal investigations, as well local and regional strategic initiatives.
Mr. Park also served as counsel for the Prudential Group in the Asia Pacific region, overseeing the legal operations for Taiwan.
Mr. Park also served as Director and Head of Legal and Compliance for Credit Suisse AG, Seoul Branch, where he advised on numerous transactions with local institutions and corporate counter-parties on derivatives and other financial products, cross-border financing/acquisitions and asset management. Mr. Park also worked closely with Korean financial regulators to effectively address regulatory concerns.
Mr. Park began his career in New York, NY, as an associate of the New York firm Coudert Brothers. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.A. 1992) and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D., cum laude, 1995), where he was an editor of The Hastings Law Journal.
