Seounghee Park is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. Her practice primarily focuses on Japan, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, antitrust and competition, and capital markets.

She joined Kim & Chang in November 2013 after working 12 years at Atsumi & Sakai (formerly Atsumi & Partners) and other law firms in Japan.

Due to her unique background of being born in Korea, growing up in Korea and Japan during her adolescence and then being educated in the US, Ms. Park is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English.

With her tri-lingual skills and multicultural experience combined with her expertise in law, Ms. Park has served numerous Japanese, US, Korean and other non-Japanese clients on commercial and strategic issues in a broad range of corporate and finance matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing, private equity and capital markets transactions, antitrust and international disputes.

  • Assisted Japanese institutional investors in investment in non-Japanese private placement funds, and a Korean company and US hedge funds and investment management companies in Japanese public companies and related securities filings.
