Bio

Jae Ho Baek is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in banking, securities, insurance, foreign direct investment, mergers & acquisitions, investment management and private equity. 

Mr. Baek has extensive experience advising publicly and privately held multinational and Korean companies and financial institutions in a wide range of international and domestic transactions, including share and asset purchases, joint ventures, corporate governance, and securities. He also advises on regulatory matters for financial institutions. 

In the firm's Insurance Practice, Mr. Baek assists clients on a broad range of matters, including advising the establishment of insurance branches, subsidiaries, brokerages and agencies, as well as assisting these institutions with ongoing regulatory compliance issues. 

Also, the scope of Mr. Baek's investment management practice includes establishing various onshore and offshore funds and advising asset management companies. 

Mr. Baek received his LL.M. from the University of Virginia in 2008 and his LL.B. from College of Law, Seoul National University in 1996. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1999. He is admitted to the Korean and New York bars. He speaks fluent Korean, English and Japanese.
