Bio

Mia Kim is a foreign attorney in the firm’s Real Estate Practice and Health Practice. 

As a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice, Ms. Kim provides a broad range of foreign investors and private equity funds in real estate transactions with expert advice on matters involving sale and purchase of real properties, construction projects, and leasing projects, and advising on the most effective and feasible deal structures. 

Ms. Kim has extensive experience in advising publicly and privately held multinational companies in a wide range of cross-border transactions, including share and asset purchases and joint venture, corporate governance, general corporate and commercial law matters, and setting up of Korean operations. 

Also as a member of the firm’s Health Practice, Ms. Kim has vast experience in advising a broad range of companies in the pharmaceutical/medical device/cosmetic sectors on matters of regulatory advice, compliance, competition law issues relating to promotional and marketing practices in the industry, M&A, and restructuring of business operations. 

Before joining the firm in 2005, Ms. Kim worked in the Office of the General Counsel and the US Department of Health and Services in Washington, DC. In that capacity, Ms. Kim advised government agencies on regulatory issues involving biomedical research and reviewed proposed regulations and legislation affecting significant issues of health and human services.
