Seo-Yeon Yang is a tax attorney/CPA at Kim & Chang who provides professional advice to companies in the fields of environment and ESG. She has extensive experience in advising companies and government agencies on supply chain and international trade. Her major clients include multinational steel, oil refining and chemical manufacturing companies, as well as general manufacturing companies.
Ms. Yang has gained extensive experience in the regulations field by representing various multinational corporate clients and advising on trade remedy investigations and ESG/supply chain regulations. She has provided assistance to Korean conglomerates in trade remedy investigations conducted in the US and other countries overseas. Ms. Yang mainly practices in the climate change and energy fields.
In addition, Ms. Yang has contributed to the implementation of the government’s policy on supporting Korean companies by actively engaging in research on the Korean trade remedy system (commissioned by the Korea Trade Commission, 2020-2022) and collaborating on the publication of brochures (commissioned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 2020-2022). She also successfully counseled the Korean government in international trade disputes overseen by the World Trade Organization (the “WTO”).
Ms. Yang has participated in the Young Trade Leaders Club (YTLC) program organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy for many years. She is active in providing lectures and advice in the areas of environment, ESG, supply chain and international trade regulations.
