Ji-won Lim is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang’s Mergers & Acquisition Practice. He focuses on private and public mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Lim has provided assistance to strategic and financial investors in both cross-border and domestic transactions.
Mr. Lim has also advised a number of public companies in their corporate governance matters, including board matters as well as responses to shareholder activism.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Lim worked in New York and Seoul for four years at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, where he specialized in private equity investments, cross-border M&As, private transactions and various corporate governance matters. Mr. Lim also worked in New York for four years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where his practice focused on private and public M&As in the financial services industry, including banking, insurance, fintech and specialty lending sector.
Mr. Lim received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2017, and his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2013. He is admitted to the New York bar.
