Boram Hong is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation, International Trade & Customs Litigation, and Construction & Engineering Disputes Practices.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hong has been actively involved in representing, or providing legal advice to, domestic and international clients relating to domestic/international commercial/investment arbitration and cross-border litigation, in various sectors including pharmaceutical, automobile, construction and engineering.
Also a member of the Korean Ministry of Justice’s Legal Advisory Panel for Outbound Small to Medium Businesses, Ms. Hong provides legal advice to small and medium businesses engaged in international transactions.
She has co-authored articles regarding arbitration in Korea for Chambers Practice Guide – International Arbitration 2019 and Getting the Deal Through – Dispute Resolution 2018.
For her representation of a Korean client in an international arbitration regarding development of a pharmaceutical drug, she received the Arbitration Award at the Third Korea National Legal Awards, together with the members of the Kim & Chang team who represented the case.
Ms. Hong received an LL.M. from Georgetown Law Center in 2020, J.D from Korea University School of Law in 2013, and Bachelor of Law degree from Korea University, College of Law in 2007. She is admitted to the Korean bar. Ms. Hong is fluent in Korean and English.
