Andrew V. Krebsbach is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang.
Mr. Krebsbach advises private fund sponsors on matters involving the formation, fundraising and ongoing operation of a wide range of private equity funds and hedge funds, as well as managed accounts and customized investment solutions. He also advises investors in private funds and has regularly counseled sovereign wealth funds and others on various aspects of their investment programs, including participation in funds and co-investments.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Krebsbach practiced at global law firms in Chicago and Singapore, most recently in the role of counsel. He also spent time on a client secondment at a prominent sovereign wealth fund.
Mr. Krebsbach graduated cum laude from the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he was an editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and a recipient of the John Henry Wigmore Scholarship. He earned his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with a double major in philosophy and English literature. Mr. Krebsbach also completed M.A. coursework in the Department of Korean Language and Literature at the Graduate School of Sogang University and has translated into English multiple works of Korean short fiction, including publications in Harvard University’s Azalea: Journal of Korean Literature & Culture. He is a member of the bar in the State of Illinois.
