Brian Ryoo is a senior foreign attorney in the Antitrust & Competition Practice at Kim & Chang. He provides assistance to clients in complex antitrust and other regulatory matters, including government investigations, merger clearance, and litigation. He also regularly advises clients on internal investigations, corporate compliance and consumer protection issues.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Ryoo served as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he investigated and litigated conduct and merger cases. Mr. Ryoo also practiced in the Washington DC offices of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Covington & Burling LLP. He has worked across many industries, including technology, telecommunications, semiconductors, media, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, banking, chemicals, retail, consumer products, transportation, energy, and food & beverages.
Mr. Ryoo is a member of the leadership of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section, where he currently serves as an editor of The Antitrust Source and previously served as Counsel to the Section Chair. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served on the editorial board of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Before attending law school, Mr. Ryoo worked as a management consultant at Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte).
