Jung Won Chae is an attorney at Kim & Chang who specializes in asset finance and project finance, with an emphasis on ship and aircraft finance and outbound energy project finance.
Throughout her career, Ms. Chae has been actively involved in many high-profile transactions in Korea or relating to Korean businesses in primarily the finance, shipping and aircraft sectors.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Ms. Chae was a partner with Lee & Ko’s finance group.
Ms. Chae holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Seoul National University’s College of Law and an LL.M. Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt School of Law. She successfully completed her legal training program at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea and was admitted to the Korean bar in 2009. She also successfully sat for the California bar exam in 2016 and is currently undergoing the process required to be admitted to the California bar.
