On September 18, 2025, Kim & Chang and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, a leading law firm in India, successfully co-hosted a seminar titled “Korean Companies Entering India: From IPO to Beyond.” The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including Korean companies’ entry into the Indian market, investment strategies and the local IPO listing process.
In Session 1 of the seminar, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’ attorneys Siddharth Hariani, Yash Ashar and Saloni Shroff participated as speakers, providing (i) an overview of the Indian market (i.e., local conditions, regulatory trends and foreign investment flows), and discussing (ii) the evolution of IPOs and capital markets (i.e., recent trends, procedural and regulatory responses, and cases of consultations with authorities).
In Session 2, our firm’s attorney Kwon-Eui Park and foreign attorney Sun Yul Lee gave presentations on the topic of “Considerations under Korean Law Regarding Indian IPOs.” During their presentations, they (i) compared and analyzed the key differences between the Indian and Korean IPO systems, and (ii) shared practical information, including matters requiring attention when filing a securities registration statement.
The seminar featured a Q&A session, during which the participants actively asked questions regarding Indian IPO financing, procedures and regulations. We sincerely hope this seminar provided practical assistance to Korean companies seeking to enter the Indian market. Our firm will continue to do its utmost to help our clients successfully expand their business to overseas markets.
