Na-Rae Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice and Shipping Practice.

Ms. Kim has extensive experience in shipbuilding, offshore, shipping, energy, international trade, insurance, and reinsurance disputes. She represented diverse clients from multi-jurisdictions in complex cross-border litigation and international arbitration, including proceedings under the rules of the LMAA, ICC, SIAC, and KCAB.

Her expertise is strong on both legal and technical issues arising from shipbuilding and offshore projects. She has substantial experience drafting and negotiating shipbuilding and offshore contracts and bank guarantees. Ms. Kim’s practice also covers marine casualties, offshore wind farm projects, charterparty and bill of lading disputes. Before rejoining Kim & Chang, Ms. Kim worked as a senior legal counsel at a Korean shipbuilding company.

Ms. Kim received an LL.M. (International Commercial Law) from University College London in 2025. She received her LL.B. and LL.M from the College of Law, Ewha Womans University. Ms. Kim completed her training at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2012. She is admitted to the Korean bar and is admitted to practice in England and Wales.
