Ji Hwan Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang with expertise in International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation and International Practice.

Mr. Kim has extensive experience managing complex international disputes across various sectors, including construction and engineering disputes, corporate and M&A disputes, and corporate governance and shareholder disputes. He has represented numerous clients in arbitrations administered by renowned institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (“ICC”), the London Court of International Arbitration (“LCIA”), the Court of Arbitration for Sport (“CAS”), the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (“KCAB”), and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”). Additionally, Mr. Kim has successfully represented clients in international disputes before the Korean courts.

Mr. Kim’s expertise spans a wide array of industries, including the construction, energy, maritime, M&A, technology and sports industries. Notably, Mr. Kim served as a member of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics Sports Arbitration Committee, where he gained exceptional experience advising and representing Olympic athletes during the Olympic Games.

Mr. Kim holds an LL.M. in International Economic Law, Business & Policy from Stanford Law School, a J.D. from Korea University School of Law, and an LL.B. from Seoul National University. He is admitted to the Korea and California bars and is fluent in both Korean and English.
