Bio

Hyo Je Lee is an attorney at Kim & Chang. Using his extensive litigation experience in courts, Mr. Lee specializes in corporate restructuring, finance, construction and real estate disputes, and civil and criminal litigation. 

Before joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Lee served as a judge and a presiding judge at Seoul District Eastern Branch, Seoul Central District Court, Suncheon Branch of Gwangju District Court, Gwangju High Court, Seoul Northern District Court, Seoul High Court, Tongyeong Branch of Changwon District Court, and the Supreme Court for fifteen years. His judicial career focused on civil litigation, criminal cases, and administrating applications for assigning temporary provisions. He also served in the National Court Administration and Seoul Central District Court as a personal affairs director and a public information officer focusing on judicial administration. 

Mr. Lee has contributed many times to legal publications and judiciary libraries. The topics of his writings include review on preliminary injunction for suspension of the executive member's performance by group type, requirements for issuing preliminary injunction status of intellectual property rights, requirements for issuance of temporary restraining order under the US law, and the effect of sales contract that restricts certain types of business.
