Joon Hwan Park is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He primarily practices in the areas of maritime law and international trade, providing legal advice in insurance, international transportation, offshore energy, and maritime regulation sectors. Mr. Park has worked with his extensive experience in these areas.

Mr. Park has been involved in and offered a range of advice on major maritime accidents and crew casualties in the Korean waters, including the Hebei Spirit collision and oil spillage case. He has also been engaged in various international dispute matters. Additionally, he offers provides legal advice to a number of domestic and foreign clients in the offshore energy sector as well as in the shipping regulation sector, including carbotage issues.

He was recognized as the Next Generation Lawyer by The Legal 500, and was also elected as a Rising Star and Leading Lawyer in the shipping fby Legal Times.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Park worked at Yulchon LLP for seven years.

Mr. Park received an LL.M. from the University College London Faculty of Laws in 2011, as well as an LL.M. and LL.B. from the Seoul National University College of Law in 2004 and 2001, respectively. He graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2006. He is admitted to the Korea bar.
