Hyun Wook Shin is a senior attorney at Kim & Chang, who specializes in corporate legal affairs, such as insurance, fair trade, foreign investment, and M&A. His major clients include major multinational companies and financial institutions, including Korean and multinational insurance companies. 

As a key member of the firm’s Insurance Practice, Mr. Shin has extensive experience in advising insurance companies on various matters, including establishment of an insurance company, M&A, license applications, regulatory compliance, and privacy. He is also known for his expertise on antitrust issues in the M&A process, cartel and unfair trade practices of Korean and multinational companies.

Mr. Shin is a member of the Korea Life Insurance Product Public Disclosure Commission. He has also contributed to several legal publications, such as the insurance section of “Chambers Global Practice Guides” and the Korea section of “Practice Law - The Insurance and Reinsurance Global Guide 2016/17.” 

In 2017, he was named a Leading Individual in the insurance industry by the global legal directory, Chambers Asia-Pacific.
