- Advised a global IT company on a Korea Fair Trade Commission (“KFTC”) investigation concerning allegations of market dominance abuse and exclusion of competitors, guiding the client through complex regulatory requirements and fair trade compliance.
- Supported a global bank in responding to a KFTC investigation regarding foreign exchange (FX) rate collusion. Mr. Ban’s strategic counsel enabled the client to navigate regulatory scrutiny effectively, addressing allegations of anti-competitive behavior.
- Guided a global premium automotive company through a government investigation and subsequent administrative litigation concerning compliance with emissions certification requirements under Korea’s Clean Air Conservation Act.
- Advised a global premium automotive company on vehicle recall procedures and administrative/criminal investigation related to alleged Motor Vehicle Management Act violations, assisting the client in regulatory compliance and public safety risk mitigation.
- Counseled a global big tech company in responding to a Personal Information Protection Commission investigation regarding the use of personal information, providing compliance guidance and addressing data privacy concerns.
- Represented a global automotive corporation in the KFTC’s investigation of alleged competition law violations, including abuse of market dominance position, cartel activities or unfair trade practices.
- Advised on the establishment of joint ventures by major global semiconductor manufacturers or global automotive corporations.
- Advised major US or EU aerospace and defense companies on contract law issues relating to form supply contracts proposed by DAPA.
