Han Woo Park is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s antitrust and competition, corporate governance, foreign direct investment, and mergers & acquisitions practices. He practices in the area of corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and antitrust law. Mr. Park has extensive experience advising clients in the automobile industries in licensing, antitrust, labor and employment, and tax and customs. 

Mr. Park has advised a number of automobile, machinery, chemicals, and household goods manufacturing corporations in both cross-border and domestic transactions, and has extensive experience of advising American and European corporations. 

After serving in the Korean Army as a judge advocate, Mr. Park joined Kim & Chang in 1994. Mr. Park was on detached duty at Clifford Chance in New York and Hong Kong branches until 2000. After the detached duty and starting from advising Renault Samsung Motors Co., Ltd. on its acquisition of Samsung Motors business, he has advised on various foreign investment, M&A and antitrust related issues. In 2005 he participated as a working staff in the Ministry of Justice to help improve the business environment to amend the corporation laws. Since 2010, he has been providing related legal advice to clients in the automobile industry. 

Mr. Park has authored “Anti-Dumping Law Requirement” in the journal “Fair Competition” in 1997. He has also co-authored the Korea chapter of “European Lawyer Reference - Leniency Regimes (third edition).” 

Mr. Park received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1999, and his LL.B. from Seoul National University College of Law in 1989. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1991. He is admitted to the Korean bar.
