On February 17, 2021, Kim & Chang’s Intellectual Property (“IP”) Practice hosted a joint webinar on the “State of the Battery Industry and Patent/Trade Secret Issues in Korea and Europe” with the European law firm Withers & Rogers.

Seong-Soo Park (attorney), Sung Eun Kim (patent attorney) and CY Chooyoun Kim (US attorney) from Kim & Chang's IP Practice, and Mark Caddle (attorney) and Bruce Dean (patent attorney) of Withers & Rogers presented on topics that industry players should consider in light of the rapidly changing battery industry, including the current market and policy trends of the battery industry in Korea and Europe and patent and trade secret issues.

Organized online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the joint webinar was well received by business leaders and IP practitioners of various Korean companies in the industry for deepening their understanding of the current landscapes in Korea and Europe.  Kim & Chang’s IP Practice plans to continue providing similar webinars that offer useful information on various topics and a platform for discussion and networking.
