On June 29, 2020, Kim & Chang hosted the International Construction Lecture Series webinar with Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB International), International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK) and HKA.

In this lecture series, Byung-Woo Im, Chul-Won Lee, Matthew Christensen, Daewoong Lee, Dami Park, Don Jeon and Hyunbok Lee, members of Kim & Chang’s construction disputes team, shared practical tips for Korean construction companies in COVID-19 claim negotiations.

Chul-Won Lee, Dami Park, Don Jeon and Hyunbok Lee discussed the position of various jurisdictions on force majeure and change of law clauses which are widely discussed as the major basis for COVID-19 claims.  Matthew Christensen and Daewoong Lee provided practical tips for the preparation of disruption claims.
