On August 30, 2017, Byung-Suk Chung and Hi Sun Yoon of Kim & Chang’s Shipping Practice, spoke at the Third Port Logistics Law Seminar.

Mr. Chung, who also serves as the president of the Korea Private International Law Association, moderated a lively panel discussion entitled “Hanjin Shipping's First Anniversary: Legal Issues and Steps Ahead.”  Mr. Yoon gave a presentation on the issues and improvements for shipping finance and bankruptcy laws.  

Co-hosted by Incheon Port Authority and Korea University's Research Centre for Marine Law, the seminar was held on the first anniversary of the commencement of Hanjin Shipping's rehabilitation process.  This event had a significant impact on the global maritime sector, as Hanjin Shipping was the world’s seventh largest container line, and provided a place for industry professionals to discuss the state of the port logistics industry and lessons learned thus far.
