Jae Eun Claire Chong is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang’s Privacy & Data Security Practice. She primarily advises both domestic and multinational corporations doing business in South Korea on privacy and data security matters.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Ms. Chong worked at Yulchon LLC, where she specialized in data privacy. Before Yulchon LLC, she worked as an in-house counsel at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. (now Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd.), handling the company’s global operations in shipbuilding and offshore construction from 2018 to 2021. From 2016 to 2017, she was employed in Global Advanced Metal USA, Inc.’s Law Department as a legal fellow.
Ms. Chong received her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2016 and her B.A from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 2010. She is admitted to the New York bar.
