Bio

Chan Kang is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s International Trade & Customs Practice. Mr. Kang is in charge of handling cases related to the Korea Customs Service, customs offices, the Tax Tribunal, and courts involving customs appeal cases or criminal cases regarding the Customs Act, Foreign Exchange Transaction Law, Foreign Trade Act, FTA, and other trade-related laws.

Mr. Kang has provided successful consultation in various fields such as customs review and complaints, foreign exchange inspections/investigations, and crime investigations for leading domestic and foreign companies.

Mr. Kang has actively served as a Public Service Advocate of Korea Customs Service (Seoul Main Customs), a member of the Customs Valuation Committee at Customs Valuation & Classification Institute, and a member of the Port Express Service Companies Deliberation Committee at Incheon Regional Customs Service.

Mr. Kang received an LL.M. from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2018. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea from 2008 to 2010. He is admitted to the California bar and the Korean bar.
