Bio

Yoon Jeong Lee began her career as an attorney at Kim & Chang in 1999 and has been an expert in the field of environmental law for the past 23 years. Recently, she has been in charge of ESG work – in particular, environmental and climate change-related matters – within the ESG group of Kim & Chang. Her expertise includes climate change, emission trading, waste management, recycling, resource circulation, chemical control, and water/wastewater management. 

Ms. Lee has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as one of the “Leading Lawyers” in the field of environmental law every year since 2011. In addition, she currently serves as a legal advisor to the Ministry of Environment, a committee member of the National Environmental Dispute Resolution Commission within the Ministry of Environment, and the vice president of the Korean Environmental Law Association. 

Ms. Lee majored English literature at Seoul National University and completed her graduate studies on environmental law at SOAS, University of London. She passed the 38th Korean bar exam and graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1999.
