Chae Yeon An is a senior attorney in Kim & Chang’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity and Corporate Governance Practices. She represents a diverse range of clients, including investment banks, PEFs, and domestic and multinational corporations in various industries in connection with their M&A.
Ms. An’s practice covers a wide range across mergers & acquisitions and corporate and securities law. She has extensive experience in M&A, joint venture and foreign direct investment.
Throughout her career, Ms. An has been actively involved in many high-profile transactions in Korea or relating to Korean businesses. She regularly advises private equity funds, corporate clients and financial institutions on various mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and other projects.
She is also known for her expertise and experience advising both domestic and multinational clients on corporate governance and internal compliance matters.
Apart from her experience in Korean law firms, she has also worked as a foreign attorney in the New York Office of Mayer Brown LLP.
As for her accomplishments, Ms. An has been named to the “40 Under 40 List” by Asian Legal Business (ALB) in 2021.
Ms. An received her LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law in 2018 and her LL.B. degree from Seoul National University in 2012. She graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2012. She was admitted to the Korean bar in 2012 and to the New York bar in 2020.
