John Lee is a senior foreign tax consultant at Kim & Chang. He specializes in overall tax consulting and tax controversy practice.
John has extensive experience in advising foreign and foreign-owned Korean entities on a wide range of tax issues, including cross-border transactions, structuring for inbound and outbound investments/divestments, management of large and/or complex tax controversy cases and dispute resolution.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang in 2002, John was an international tax partner at KPMG, Korea and a tax partner at KPMG, Australia. He also served as a council member for The National Unification Advisory Council and a board member of The Australia-Korea Foundation. Before rejoining Kim & Chang in 2010, he worked as the tax managing partner for Ernst & Young, Korea.
John is certified as a chartered accountant in Australia.
