• Advised on environmental permitting regulations (including environmental impact assessments, permits for pollutant emission facilities, site location restrictions, soil contamination, etc.) related to the establishment, expansion, and closure of manufacturing facilities.
• Conducted compliance audits for environmental regulations and proposed strategic improvement plans.
• Advised on greenhouse gas regulations including emission allowance allocation, and certification of greenhouse gas reduction from external projects.
• Advised the Korean government on environmental policy development and regulatory enforcement.
• Conducted extensive due diligence on environmental issues for domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions.
• Handled investigations and litigations (criminal, administrative, and civil) related to violations of environmental laws.
