Bio

Young Min Lee is a senior attorney in Kim & Chang’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, Private Equity, and Real Estate practices.

Mr. Lee’s practice covers a wide range across corporate and real estate law. He has extensive experience in M&A, joint venture, foreign direct investment and real estate transactions. He is also known for his expertise and experience advising both domestic and multinational clients on corporate governance and internal compliance matters.

He represents a diverse range of clients, including investment banks, PEFs and corporations in various industries in connection with their M&A, restructuring and financing needs.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang in 2007, Mr. Lee worked as a Judge Advocate in the Republic of Korea Navy. In 2013, he worked in the LA Office of Latham & Watkins LLP as a visiting lawyer.

Mr. Lee has been recognized by some of the world’s leading legal media, including being named to the “40 Under 40 List” by Asian Legal Business (ALB) in 2015. He also regularly contributes to legal publications, and among others, he has co-authored the Korea chapter of The Mergers & Acquisitions Review’s 8th (2014) and 9th (2015) editions. 

Mr. Lee received his LL. M. degree from University of California, Berkeley in 2013, and his LL.B. degree from Seoul National University in 2002. He graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2004. 

Mr. Lee is admitted to practice in Korea, and is a member of the Korean Bar Association and the State Bar of New York.
