Yon Kyun Oh is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices in a wide range of corporate and finance law areas, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures, real property and construction law, energy and natural resources law, privatization, asset-backed securitization and structured financing, project financing, and offshore investment.

As a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice and Energy Practice, Mr. Oh advises in a diverse range of investors, specializing in the acquisition, sale and lease of assets, the development of real properties, oil and gas projects, and mergers and acquisitions in the energy and construction sectors. Mr. Oh has developed special expertise in the area of LNG transaction and renewable energy areas including related licensing or permit issues.

Mr. Oh served as a Vice-Chairman of the Insolvency Committee of IPBA between 1995 and 2001 and also was a member of the SOC Projects Review Committee in the Korean Ministry of Construction & Transportation (1995-2000), the Korean Ministry of Marine & Fisheries (1996-2000), Government Employees Pension Service Investment Committee (2011-2014) and the Prime Minister's Administrative Appeals Commission (2002-2010.3.). Since 2010, Mr. Oh has been a Member of the Central Land Tribunal. Currently, Mr. Oh is serving as a member of the National Pension Service’s Alternate Investment Committee.

Mr. Oh has authored various publications, including “The Real Estate Review: Korea chapter” (Law Business Research). He has been regularly recognized with the highest rankings by Chambers Asia-Pacific for his expertise in real estate.

Mr. Oh received an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 1991 and an LL.B. from Seoul National University in 1980. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1982. He is admitted to the New York bar and Korea bar.

Yon Kyun Oh is an attorney at Kim & Chang.
