Bio

Woo Jin Shin is a senior attorney in Kim & Chang's Corporate & M&A Litigation Practice. 

Since joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Shin has developed a substantial litigation practice, successfully representing a wide variety of clients in civil, administrative and criminal cases. He is particularly known for his deep expertise and experience representing major clients in related disputes and litigations in connection with hostile takeover and corporate governance-related matters. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Shin served in the judiciary for ten years as a judge advocate and a district court judge, where he gained extensive experience on a wide range of civil and criminal cases. 

Mr. Shin received his LL.M. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2006, and his LL.B. degree from the Seoul National University College of Law in 1996. In 1998, he graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea. 

He is admitted to the Korean bar. He also passed the AICPA exam and the New York bar exam.
