Soo-Kil CHANG - Kim & Chang

Bio

Soo-Kil Chang is one of the two founding partners of Kim & Chang.

After passing the Korean Bar Examination as the youngest successful candidate, Mr. Chang served in the judiciary as a judge in the Seoul Civil District Court and the Seoul Criminal District Court. Reflecting his varied experience as a judge, he has established a reputation in handling litigation and arbitration matters at Kim & Chang.

While establishing a successful practice in the intellectual property practice area, he served as the vice chair of Korea Patent Attorneys Association and the president of Korea Intellectual Property Research Society. He has extensive experience in handling enforcement of intellectual property rights. He has also built up the reputable maritime law practice at Kim & Chang.

In the field of mediation and arbitration, he has served as the chairman of the Mediation Committee of the Seoul Central District Court and is an active panel arbitrator member of the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. Mr. Chang has made a significant and lasting contribution to promote friendship in the international business lawyers circle by actively participating in IPBA (Inter-Pacific Bar Association) and the Korean-Japanese Lawyers Conference.
