Kiyoung Lee is an attorney at Kim & Chang. Mr. Lee’s practice focuses on the fields of Anti-corruption & Corporate Compliance, Corporate Investigation & White Collar Defense, and International Practice. Mr. Lee covers various criminal matters related to corporate management. In addition, he provides professional legal services related to Customs Crime, Tax Crime, Discovery, International Trade, and International Investment Arbitration.

Mr. Lee served for 20 years as a prosecutor in the Seoul, Suwon and Busan District Prosecutors' Offices, including the Ministry of Justice, before joining Kim & Chang. In addition, while working at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the US, the International Legal Affairs Division of the Ministry of Justice, the Finance & Corporate Crime (Special Investigation) Department of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors' Office, and the Financial Tax Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, he performed various international legal affairs and conducted a number of financial, tax, customs and special investigations.

Mr. Lee attended and negotiated as a delegate of the Korean government in the Korea-Australia and the Korea-New Zealand FTA negotiations.

Mr. Lee received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 2008. He received an MST from the Graduate School of Science in Taxation at the University of Seoul in 2015 and also completed his Ph.D coursework at the same graduate school in 2022. In addition, he obtained his LL.B. from Korea University College of Law in 1998. He also completed a two year training period at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2002. He is admitted to practice in Korea and the State of New York.
