Bio

In Mok Hwang is an attorney at Kim & Chang’s Environmental Legal Compliance. He provides specialized advice on environmental regulations related to air, water, land, and nature as well as on resolution of legal disputes in the areas of automobiles, chemicals, waste, and climate change.

Since joining the Ministry of Environment (ME) in 2007, Mr. Hwang worked in the areas of chemicals, resource circulation, environmental economy, and natural ecology, and served as a director of the Transportation Environment Division and the Organization & Management Innovation Division. During his 16 years of service at the ME, he has gained experience in environmental law consultation and litigation, and environmental industry and technology policy. He has also gained expertise through legislative experience, including the enactment of the Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals and the revision of the Wastes Control Act.
