Bio

Hyunsoo Lee is an attorney at Kim & Chang. Using his extensive litigation experience in courts, Mr. Lee specializes in banking, securities & finance, corporate restructuring, criminal defense, administrative and public law, international trade, and human resources litigation. 

Before joining Kim & Chang in 2018, Mr. Lee served in the Korean judiciary for 17 years – first as a judge in various courts, then a presiding judge, and later a high court judge. During his tenure as a judge, he accumulated a diverse range of experiences in civil, criminal and administrative litigation. He also served in the National Court Administration as a director for three years and in Seoul High Court as a planning officer for one year focusing on judicial administration. 

Mr. Lee received an LL.M. from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2006, and his LL.B. from Seoul National University in 1996. He attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 1998.
