Intellectual Property

• Represented multinational pharmaceutical clients defending litigations involving intellectual property infringements, preliminary injunction infringement actions, patent invalidation suits and suits attempting to invalidate the Patent Term Extension by generic drug companies. 
• Represented a domestic cosmetic company on various legal issues including trademark and design infringement cases against using its trademarks and designs. 
• Advised multinational and domestic clients on acquisitions including pharmaceutical, IT, consumer goods, natural gas and theme park companies regarding various IP issues and due diligence.

 

Trade Secret

• Represented multinational and domestic clients such as companies in the cosmetic, apparel, medical device, consumer goods and manufacturing industries, franchise restaurants, tax refund agency, and smartphone trading companies in civil and criminal lawsuits including trade dress infringement and unfair competition lawsuits. 
• Advised companies in implementing codes of conduct and compliance mechanisms under trade secret protection law, privacy law and other applicable laws.

 

Health & Environment

• Represented numerous waste collection and treatment companies regarding regulatory procedures and in connection with Waste Management Act litigation. 
• Defended a multinational manufacturer of household, health and personal care products in civil actions and regulatory proceedings related to product defect claims, working closely with local and foreign experts on issues ranging from epidemiology, toxicology, and medical record reviews. 
• Advised clients such as a semiconductor company, consumer goods manufacturer, and household goods manufacturer in connection with compliance audit and relevant regulations including the Chemical Control Act.
