Bio

Chun Y. Yang is a senior foreign attorney (admitted in New York) at Kim & Chang. He has extensive experience in the areas of patent litigation, trade secret, criminal and regulatory investigations, product liability & consumer claims, privacy and data protection, and government affairs - involving multiple jurisdictions, including Korea, the United States, China, Japan, Europe and Taiwan. Mr. Yang's representative work includes advising defendants in two of Korea’s largest criminal trade secret cases involving multinational company defendants, all the way to the Korean Supreme Court. He also advised corporate and individual clients in civil and criminal data breach lawsuits where billions of sensitive health data on millions of citizens were allegedly collected and misused. He also advised leading smartphone and augmented reality game companies in a number of multi-patent lawsuit assertions.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Yang worked at Fish & Neave in New York (1992-1996), Finnegan Henderson in Washington, D.C. (1997-1998), and as an in-house counsel at Symbol Technologies (1998-2000). He served as a law clerk to Judge Raymond C. Clevenger, III at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 1996-1997. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from Harvard College (1989) and his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School (1992).

Chun Y. Yang is a senior foreign attorney (admitted in New York) at Kim & Chang.
