Bio

Cindy Seunghee Hong is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. She primarily advises multinational corporations in a wide range of antitrust proceedings with a particular focus on the defense of cartel investigations, class action litigations, and M&A clearances under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

Ms. Hong has defended before the DOJ and FTC numerous leading corporations that face high risk antitrust proceedings from diverse industries such as automotive, consumer/medical products, and media/technologies. She has also led multijurisdictional cartel investigations, and represented clients in multiple follow-on class action litigations where she led discovery. Ms. Hong also advocated clearance or disapproval of certain transactions through submission of numerous white papers, and responded to second requests and civil investigative demands. 

Ms. Hong has been an active member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law. Before joining Kim & Chang, she started her own business by launching a consumer product via e-Commerce, and successfully held a non-legal career as an entrepreneur. 

Ms. Hong received a J.D. with honors from American University Washington College of Law in 2013, and her B.A. from Duke University in 2007. She is admitted to the bar of the State of New York, District of Columbia and California.
